went poking around some thrift shops last week and finally found an acceptable vintage leopard coat (for $8 so that's much more than acceptable, actually). also discovered this oversized leather cardigan for 99 cents (!). it has a few small holes, but nothing i can't get my seamstress (aka mom) to fix.
i don't think i've would've taken a picture of this outfit, but i REALLY liked that blue lamp post. glad that i jumped on the tiny strap sandals bandwagon as my legs look less stumpy, less often, and that's generally good. learning a lot from having my boyfriend awkwardly watch me awkwardly pose in awkward public places while people look at us awkwardly.
i'm in a little bit of a menswear/tomboy phase right now (meaning that i've actually been buying clothes from the men's department) i'm not sure if it's some overall fashion trend influencing me or i have just let my inner desire for comfort take over, but i have naturally been led to the point of menswear-inspired loafer lust. i recently purchased the bdg pair pictured above and am anxiously awaiting them in the mail. i am also currently debating about whether to buy a men's striped pajama set for myself..that's how far i've gone down on this whole men's clothing road thing.
sometimes i think that collectively as bloggers we post about kate moss too much. like, can she still really be that inspiring after years and years of looking at photos of her? well yah, she can. i'd somehow never come across this image of her and mario sorrenti in 1993 until yesterday (though you can apparently buy posters of it?) and i am so in love with this look, right down to her sambas.
finally felt like i recovered from the holiday hangover just yesterday and ready to post again. i wore this to nerd out with pat at the symphony's showing of pirates of the caribbean. it makes me feel inspired to do some serious second hand shopping actually since i got that top at at a vintage store and the pants at a thrift store. i've been neglecting my mecca, the salvation army lately...very stupid.
